Terms of Use

Version 1.0 · Last updated

1. Acceptance

By accessing this website you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

2. Editorial independence and views

All posts on this site reflect the personal views of Jason Masters and not the views of any organisation he is currently or formerly associated with. Posts are commentary, opinion, theology, and personal reflection — not pastoral, legal, medical, or other professional advice.

We write from an explicitly progressive Christian perspective, and we are unapologetically inclusive of LGBTIQA+ readers, writers, and contributors.

3. No advice

Nothing on this site constitutes pastoral, theological, medical, mental health, legal, or other professional advice. If you are in distress, please contact a qualified professional. In Australia: Lifeline (13 11 14) is available 24/7. For LGBTIQA+ specific support, QLife (1800 184 527) offers phone and webchat support nightly.

4. Comments and submissions

Comments posted via Hyvor Talk are moderated. We reserve the right to remove any comment that is defamatory, unlawful, abusive, off-topic, or otherwise contrary to civil discussion. The author of a comment is solely responsible for its content.

We have particular regard for the wellbeing of LGBTIQA+ readers and will remove comments that are hostile, demeaning, or unsafe — including comments that frame queer identity as sinful, broken, or in need of correction. This publication is not a forum for that debate.

5. Linking

You are welcome to link to this site, provided you do not frame the content in a way that misrepresents the source.

6. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Author excludes liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or reliance on its content. This does not exclude any consumer guarantee you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

7. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
