Cookie Policy
Version 1.1 · Last updated
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser by the websites you visit. They are used for things like remembering preferences, keeping you logged in, or analysing how a site is used.
2. Cookies on this site
This site sets no cookies when you simply browse and read. Cookies are only ever set if you take a specific action, as set out below.
| Cookie source | Purpose | When it’s set |
|---|---|---|
| Plausible Analytics | None — Plausible is cookie-free. | Never |
| Hyvor Talk (comments) | Stores your login state for the comment system. | Only if you choose to load comments on an article |
| HubSpot Forms | A short-lived cookie when you submit a form. | Only when you submit a form |
We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and there is no consent banner to dismiss — because nothing is set until you ask for it.
3. Comments and cookies
Reader comments are powered by a third-party service, Hyvor Talk, which may set cookies in your browser. To avoid setting anything you didn’t ask for, the comment widget on each article does not load automatically. Beneath an article you’ll see a short notice with a “load comments” button:
- If you click it — the comment widget loads and Hyvor Talk may set cookies so you can read and post comments.
- If you don’t — no comment cookies are ever set, and the rest of the site works exactly as normal.
Your choice is remembered in your browser’s localStorage (not a cookie) so
you don’t have to click again on future articles. To reset it, clear your
browser’s site storage for this domain.
4. Browser controls
You can control cookies through your browser’s settings. Doing so may affect how the comments section works.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes are recorded below.
| Date | Version | Change |
|---|---|---|
| 2026-05-31 | 1.0 | Initial publication. |
| 2026-06-18 | 1.1 | Removed the site-wide cookie banner; comments now load only on explicit per-article request, so no cookies are set on arrival. |
6. Contact
Cookie questions can go to the contact form or info@aussiealtchristian.com.au.
