Content and Fair Use Policy

Version 1.0 · Last updated

Unless otherwise stated, all written content on this site is © Jason Masters. All rights reserved.

2. What you may do

We encourage thoughtful sharing. Without seeking permission, you may:

  • Link to posts from your website, social media, or correspondence.
  • Quote short passages (up to roughly 100 words) with attribution. Include the post title, the author (Jason Masters), the site name (Aussie Alt Christian), and a link back to the source.
  • Cite posts in academic, theological, or professional work using the citation block on each post.

3. What requires written permission

You must obtain written permission from the Author before:

  • Republishing a post in whole or in part on another website, in a newsletter, in print, or anywhere else.
  • Translating a post into another language for republication.
  • Creating derivative works (summaries, adaptations, video readings, audio readings) for public distribution.

Permission is generally granted for non-commercial educational, pastoral, and journalistic uses. Email info@aussiealtchristian.com.au.

4. Use by LGBTIQA+ inclusion advocates and pastoral care workers

If you work with LGBTIQA+ people in a faith context — as a pastor, chaplain, parent, sibling, friend, or fellow traveller — you are welcome to share posts freely with people who would benefit. Permission for printed handouts and small-group materials is granted in advance, provided attribution is included. If a post might be useful and you’re unsure whether a particular use is okay, just ask. We will almost always say yes.

5. Academic, theological, and journalistic use

Academic citation in scholarly works, theses, conference papers, and books is welcome and does not require prior permission. Use the citation formats provided on each post.

Journalists may quote under fair dealing for reporting news (Copyright Act 1968 (Cth), s 42). Please include attribution and a link.

6. AI training and use

Posts on this site are written and edited by a human and intended for human readers. We permit indexing by general-purpose search and answer engines (Google, Bing, ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity).

If you build an AI system that surfaces our content, we ask that you cite the original source clearly and link back. Republishing whole posts without attribution is not permitted regardless of whether the act is performed by a human or a machine.

7. Reporting issues

If you believe content on this site infringes your copyright, or if you find factual errors, contact us via the contact form.
